Used equipment L.A

Hello!

I might visit L.A this summer. I wonder if there are any stores for used large format equipment? I am mostly interested in lenses and filmholders for 8X10.
Been to Samys (I think?), but that was a few years ago.
Will stay in Pasadena, but driving a bit is no problem.

I have found some good deals here on LF equipment. Lots of small format stuff but if you dig, and get lucky, they are some LF deals to be found.

plus the Bargain Camera Show is in Pasadena.
Samy's is very expensive for LF gear.
You might also put a wanted to buy in the ads here. There's a fairly robust LF community in LA.

EVERY time I've bought ANY used year from Samys(LA or otherwise) I've haggled with them to a degree. The LA store had a decent supply some years ago, not sure about 8x10 holders though. Again, you might get lucky...

I used to work at the Pasadena store btw (before they moved to their current location on Colorado Blvd).

I think, if you have a friend in the uS, you might consider the big market, ebay. Just shop for the best deal, then have the stuff sent to your friend, and it will be waiting when you arrive!

Thanks for all your help! It´s not a big deal if I don´t get what I want when I´m there. Have used Ebay a few times (got mine Toyo CX from US), and never had any problems.
