    5x7 color film

Are there currently any retail sources for 5x7 color film in the US, or if not, any foreign mail-order that you would recommend ? I would much prefer transparency, but if needed I could see myself shooting negative.

My stock is running low, and more critical, it is becoming so old that I'm not sure I trust it anymore.

5x7 Ektar was being done on a group order custom cut basis arranged by Keith Canham. But as I recall, this already transpired several months back, so it might
take awhile to accumulate demand again, unless you can afford the bulk of the run. Just contact him and ask. Chrome sheet film is damn near extinct anyway; so you might have to cut your own sheets from 8x10 Provia if you can't locate any reasonably fresh 5x7 stock in Japan.

Tuan, there is no 5x7 color transparency any more. 5x7 color neg is obtained primarily via occasional special orders to Kodak organized by Keith Canham.

    General info page is here:

    http://www.canhamcameras.com/kodakfilm.html

But be sure to check out his Facebook page for details of any current orders being organized - looks as though he recently completed a 5x7 Portra 400 order and may be still working on a 5x7 Ektar 100 order:

According to my knowledge, Keith already reached the minimum order for new Kodak 5x7 Ektar 100 cutting
You might contact him to plus your order.

Japan Exposures seems to have Provia 100F and Velvia 100F http://www.japanexposures.com/shop/f...l-film/page-3/. I have ordered from them before.

Edit: oops, too quick on the post..clicking further on both the Provia 100F and Velvia 100F buttons shows "sold out"

Our own B.S. Kumar has been facilitating film purchase through Yodobashi (see http://www.largeformatphotography.in...etc-from-Japan), but looking at the Yodobashi web site I don't find 5x7. But you might contact Kumar to double check.

Unfortunately, there is no 5x7 Fuji film any more.

I emailed Keith last night and the cost on a 50 sheet box of 5x7 Ektar is $457 plus shipping. It can still be ordered according to the email.

Sell it on eBay to hipsters at an inflated price, then use the cash to buy 10x8" film and cut it to 5x7".
