It's 2000 ft pretty much straight up with few switch backs. It was... heavy. My daughter took the camera+tripod (~5 lbs) on the way down as my knees were hurting as they do on long hike downhills..

oh of course I have other photos. Will scan them when I am done with all these works...

I'd sure like to see them...thinking about going on some type of hike myself...although not with a 4x5, but a Autographic 3A special.

I like the image very much, remembers me my stay in the SF Bay area 26 years ago, at that time I only carried a Rolleiflex TLR!

2000 feet of climb, that's something!

My goal is actually to see how feasible it it to carry a 4x5 gear traveling, think Hong Kong and China etc. So I don't expect to do long hike, but perhaps long walk ;-)
