    Monitor profiling

Would someone mind confirming my assumption.

Monaco EZcolor 2.6 comes with the scanner I am going to buy.

Then I only need to buy a spyder, I don't need a spyder that comes with profiling software, since EZcolor will handle that?

Which is better, the Gretag or Colorvision spyders?

I think monaco sells one. It will probably interface with the software you're getting? Go to www.xrite.com.

I read further and I now understand.

But, if anyone has the experience, I would still like a recommendation for a brand of spyder.

    Thanks

    Try this:

I'm very pleased with the Spyder and Optical.

I have had very good experience with Eye One by Greytag Macbeth but I haven't tried any others.
    Thanks,

I have the monaco optix. The others may work but I chose to stay with like brands to assure that they are speaking the same language to each other. Jeff Schewe ( He's been a tester for photoshop since#1, if you like history brush, thank him. Check him out at jeffschewe.com ) stated that the eye-1 was the best for profiling LCD moniters. Before you purchase the spyder without software, you might want to *really* make sure that the software will do monitors. Very often "included" software is crippled to provide only the functionality strictly required by the item it was included with.
