Never saw your post. Wave bigger next time.

I would have suggested changes to his explanation of adjusting enlargement and reduction by 'simple' formula. The formula blew my mind. I understand the formula. I'm getting deja vu, I think we have had this discussion.

I think relating this concept visually to the well know studio lighting formula inverse square of light would have been good for visual learners. Perhaps the traditional cone of light?

It's nit pick, and too late now.

So what are the differences between the third and fourth editions?

Many. Inclusion of Alt processes. Digital negs. Better advice on processing analog and why.

The 4th is better in many ways than 3rd. More reasons 'why this'. I prefer it as eBook so I think that's also an improvement.

I doubt anyone would regret buying it. This is all I can say without simply posting the whole book and that's theft.

Just received my copy of the 4th edition. Although obviously a minor point, I like the new printing better than the 3rd edition. A nice bonus.

Not sure I'm convinced re inverse square section, but that's no big deal. Also, although I'm an "analog" worker I like the new section on digital negatives.

Is this a 'real' ebook (and if so in what format) or 'just' a pdf?
