LF Gathering: Alabama Hills, CA May 6-7, 2016

As last year, forecast shows we might have some "dramatic" clouds.

I just saw the forecast and I hope it holds out as predicted.

In case the free site at Alabama Hills is occupied by non-LF and/or camera crews, the Tuttle Creek Campground is an option. It is a BLM campground located just south of Alabama Hills off Tuttle Creek Rd, and about 4.5 miles SW of Lone Pine, CA.

In the Alabama Hills, it is all free, hundreds of acres of free -- camp anywhere (I would avoid setting up a tent in the middle of a road). And getting too many people these days...but still a nice place.
