    Lubrication for a Linhof Technika?

I use a Linhof Technika IV and wish to lubricate the sliding surface on the carriage that extends the bellows - can anyone suggest the correct material to use?

    Thanks

Dry Teflon lube is my favorite for that application:

Mine too in my dry desert environment. Wet lubes collect dust and grime.
    Thanks,

But aren't dry lubes the very definition of dust? Or are the particles simply too small to be an issue?

The are not particulate (that can be felt) but a dry slick film. Maybe you are thinking of graphite. The dry Teflon is completely different.

Some dust is abrasive. Some is not. Don't use diamond dust to lubricate. I use a lot of teflon powder, but generally not on photo stuff. If dry-lube teflon bothers you, and it shouldn't, there's always Renaissance Wax. Unlike normal wax products, it goes on extremely thin, and is not sticky.

Your camera is decades old. If it is sticky or stiff you need a good CLA. Ask Bob Watkins at Precision in IL.

    Thanks all,

Bob - excuse my question but what is CLA?

    Clean - Lubricate - Adjust.
