    ring hangers

When installing ring hangers on the back of a wooden frame. Is there a rule of thumb as to where to position the ring hanger?....such as 2" or 3' from the top of the frame? obviously they need to be low enough that the wire doesn't show. I was just wondering if the professional framers had a system as where to position the ring hangers. thanx in advance

    ring hangers

Mount them so that the top of the "D" rings are 3" from the top of the frame, slightly angled in towards the center of the frame. If you can, don't wire them, but hang directly off the rings. This way you save a step in not having to wire them, they will never move on the wall and it's easier to maintain your center line.
