I recently picked up a bunch of LF stuff at a sale. Several of these were at the bottom of a box. Anyone know what they are? They're marked Camera Equipment Co Inc. NYC. One piece 40001 and the other 40002. About 10 inches long.

It has a look as if it was used to attach tripod legs to a leg spreader ?
