Detailed plans for 4x5 back on half plate / bookform back cameras?

Hi,

I am in the process of restoring a european half plate and japanese bookform back camera and would like to be able to use my modern 4x5 Fidelity Elite cassettes from time to time as well.

What I have seen in my research is that I can either

a) Attach a whole modern back onto a wood plate that fits either camera (rather easy but not so pretty?)
b) Build a holder from scratch out of wood (pretty but harder to do?)

Now, does anybody have any source that shows how to build a [reducing] back with measurements?

The main thing I am concerned with is the film plane basically, which makes me unsure about the building from scratch part.

This is home made trasformation of a book form woden 5x7" camera back by replacing a frame ground glass with springs (spring camera back).
I have done the same for a 24x30cm wooden camera, adapting a Deardorff 8x10" spring camera back on it.
Now, both cameras can use standard modern film holders.
