Canham DLC users: Can anyone tell me which quick release plate to use to mate a Canham DLC to an Arca-Swiss ballhead? (From pictures of the DLC, it looks as if one needed a short, flat plate with two screws, preferably one 1/4" and one 3/8"). Thanks for your help.

    Frank,

When I had my DLC, I used a RRS B35 plate. It has one fixed 1/4-20 mounting screw and a second one that is in an adjustable slot. This makes it a very versatile plate. In addition to the DLC, I have used it with several other large format cameras. You will need a 1/4 - 3/8 bushing but RRS will sell you a nice stainless steel one for this purpose.

Thanks very much for the pointers. Mike: RRS is mostly great, with the exception of the Technikardan plate whose size and weight does bring school memories of plate tectonics back. Frank
