    Portra 160 Indoors (Exposing and Metering)

    hello my friends, i will have a shooting indoors and want to use the portra 160. normally i will expose it with 80.
    i did not know which quality of lights they have.

    maybe you can give me some advice for shooting indoors with this film!

    I always shoot Portra 160 at 160. This one just posted is an example:

    Over exposing by a stop doesn't actually help anything. And it does increase graininess somewhat because of the increased density in the highlights. Not normally what most people would want.

    I've gotten excellent results, artificial lights of all kinds and natural light, shooting at box speed and exposing for the shadows. C-41 films won't really let you develop for the highlights as very little manipulation of time and/or temperature will give you color shifts that are nearly to completely impossible to fix in printing. Just sayin'.
