    JOBO 3005 + 4x5 sheets?

hello! is it possible to develop 4x5 sheets in the 3005 tank? and what amount of chemistry should i use?
the tank only says 5x7 but there's nothing written about 4x5(or 9x12).

    thanks!

totally possible--I use 350ml for 5 sheets of 4x5, and have good results. My guess is it's best to err on the side of extra chemistry since the drum is a little too large for 4x5.

I tape two 4x5's together (on the backside)

so I do 10 at a time with 900ml of developer, because that is like doing 5 8x10's

the thing is after fixing on the roller base.. I open it up..take the sheets out and dump them into a tray of fixer for 5 more minutes (with rotation) to clear the area the tape covered

    then I finish in trays

a small hassle..but TEN AT ONE SHOT

what sort of tape are you using? I've wondered if there was a good way to go about doubling up--

    scotch magic brand

I've used masking too when I was out

and I don't even carefully run the piece of tape down the line where the two sheet meet either

I would..but in a film changing bag,,it gets cramped..so I just slap the tape on making sure it is on both sheets

I've tried it with 5x7..but the bigger sheets moved and I ended up messing up one sheet

maybe if I had 2" masking tape and taped more carefully though

If 4x5 is your larger size film, just resale your 3005 tank here and buy the 3010 specially made for 10 sheets of 4x5.
3005 have a better value so you should be able to exchange it with some extra money for your tank.

If it is in good condition, we can trade. I have a 3006 for six sheets of 4*5 or 5*7 that sees little use.

Yes just at the top of page 2, they said 1000 ml but you don't need so much.
