    SINAR reducer backs

I know they offer an 8x10 to 4x5 reducer back as well as a 5x7 to 4x5 reducer back.
Was there ever an 8x10 to 5x7? I can't find one in the catalog I was looking through.

There is one shown in the Norma catalog as "2055 Reducing-Adapter 8X10-18X24 to 5X7-13X18", but I don't know if Norma backs fit the newer Sinar P frames. I've always wondered about that if anyone knows. It seems odd that Sinar wouldn't make a similar item for the P series, but I didn't see one in the Sinar catalog I have Bookmarked. If the adapter does exist for the newer Sinars, you may need to import one from UK or Europe.

I've used to use the Sinar F and Sinar P models both, and as far as I know you can use almost all of the parts on both types of camera.

I own one for my Norma. Don't have any other Sinar to try it.

There was a bit of evolution within the Norma series itself; so I can't give a definitive answer. But all my own backs- Norma, F, and P are fully interchangeable.

    Re: SINAR reducer backs

According to SINAR's "Camera & Accessory Price List" dated 1/1/1972 that was issued for C and P series, I see a "Reducing Adapter" for 8x10 to 5x7, Product Number 94136 ( $145.90 ). Does not mention if it'd fit my 8x10 Norma, not an issue for me since I have a complete 5x7 Norma as well.
