    E6 processing 4x5 in France?

I'm planning a photo project in the Basque region of France this summer. So far, I've not been able to find a lab there that would process 4x5. Does anyone know of a quick turn around mail processing service in France or Spain? I would like to see what I am getting while I'm in the area.

    Thanks

Frank. I wish I could help you but I do not know as far as South-Western France is concerned since I live in the other corner of the country. In case you do not get an answer do not hesitate to post the same question here. It is wise to enquire in advance for 4"x5" processing.

People of the galerie-photo forum do read English and will certainly answer. You could even meet some french LF aficionados and make contacts through this forum.

Have a good trip. Basque country and the Western Pyrenees are superb but may be you alerady know the place. Very green and very different from other places in Spain or the Eastern Pyrenees which are much drier and mediterranean.

    E6 processing 4x5 in France?

    Hello,

I am from the South East part of France. Mail processing addresses can be found here :

Otherwise, I personaly use the service of a next door photo shop. They send my 4x5 slides with their "Pro" 120 slides and it works well.

    E6 processing 4x5 in France?

Thank you Emmanuel and Henri --

I will follow up on your suggestions.

I did communicate with a photolab in St. Jean de Luz, which will be my home base. They claimed that there was no service for 20x25 in Cote Basque. Given my meager French, I may have asked the wrong question.

Emmanuel, I do know some parts of Pays Basque well, but most of it will be new discovery for me. I have many cousins living there.

I appreciate all the help and ideas you pass along.

Frank ; may be you could send a mail on my behalf to Christian Martin, a large format photographer living in Pau and a regular contributor of galerie-photo.info.
    Sure he knows a lab ;

BTW 4"x5" is 10x12.5cm and 20x25 is 8"x10" ; actually finding a 8"x10" E6 lab in France might be a challenge but for 4"x5" things are not so difficult.

I'm sure that in Toulouse you could find something. Toulouse is the hometown of the late Jean Dieuzaide and has a famous photo gallery "le château d'eau" . I would be surprised if there was no E6 LF lab in Toulouse.

So, Frank, we are getting closer to the Basque Country. And ask Christian Martin for something closer to the Pyrénées Atlantiques.

    Thanks again, Emmanuel.

Christian Martin's website is terrific. His LF caricatures are hilarious. All us LF nuts should see them in order to maintain a balanced view of life.

The Toulouse lab is a good lead. I will check to see if I can get service by mail.
