    I didn't use any filters, just shot wide open with the Fujinon-L 300mm f/5.6 lens. Film was Arista Ultra EDU 100 processed in Rodinal 1:50 in a rotary drum for 7 1/2 minutes. Exposure was 1/15 at f/5.6. I used an Elinchrom Ranger with a 53" Octa camera right, ambient was underexposed by about 1 stop and the rest of the light is from the strobe.

    So much for the scoffing in another thread about using LF and flash for environmental portraiture! Do it well, as Sheldon did, and the results speak for themselves.

    Who in their right mind would ever say fill flash is impractical with LF? The concept and technique are virtually identical.

    Yes indeed!

    Nothing to do with
    snip.. By blasting the scene with lots of flash, you might be giving some of that up.
