7. Round Kangchenjunga. Douglas Freshfield 1903

I had purchased 3 & 4 sometime earlier but only read them within the past 12 months and was introduced to Vittorio Sella (6) which I checked out from the library by reading Round Kangchenjunga (7).

My two picks for books published in the last 12 months:

Glen E. Friedman, My Rules. This is one of my favorite photo books I own, just full of pure gold from hip-hop, punk, skateboard and street culture.

Jay Maisel, Light, Gesture and Color. Inspiring. I'm a huge fan of Maisel and this book is worth it just for the images, nevermind all the insight into his process.

Like others I also really enjoyed the Group F.64 book.

Probably the BEST book I've seen in a few years ....the print quality is amazing. Highly recommend this book!
