It's not clear if you think something's wrong with your meter, but before committing it to expensive treatment, you might consider giving it a free "check-up."

For example, walk-in camera shops commonly offer complimentary meter examinations.

They might tell you your meter is fine and operates within acceptable standards.

What’s fun is to get an opinion from two different shops, so you have a "second opinion" of sorts. (Since you're located in the French Riviera, maybe one check-up in Antibes, another in Nice, Gratuitement!)

In my case, two local technicians, over the years, keep telling me my Pentax digital meter overexposes by 1/3 stop. So I believe it really does. And since it's only 1/3 stop, I mainly ignore the problem ... until, that is, after a year or so, when curiosity gets the best of me, and I visit them again. So far, same story over many years.

I can recommend Quality Light Metric, who have calibrated all of my four meters, including two Pentax Spot Digital. Send in, wait for email, pay, get it back in post. They are at 7095 Hollywood Blvd. # 550, Hollywood‎, CA‎ 90028, United States. I suggest calling first, number is +1 (323) 467-2265. Mr Milton will make sure they are both accurate and equal to each other, adjusting if needed both their read out level and linearity.

Thank you all for your input. I am not sure if I have an issue with my meter or not. I carried out a recent film speed test and the results gave me a personal film speed for tri x 320 of 480 asa. This is odd as my negatives prior to the test showed a tendency for under exposed shadows which is why I did the test. So I either messed up the test, or I have the whole thing backwards... so I am a bit confused and thought I would see if I can get my meter calibrated or checked against a bench mark.

Have this done by a specialist. For many years I have also used Quality Light Metric. A lot of Hollywood cameramen use his services as well. And yes, they are
calibrated against a hard standard, not only in the middle of the range, but over the whole.

Plus one for Quality Light Metric. Did a great job bring up to snuff on a Sekonic 508 I acquired on ebay.
