    TOYO 810G rise locking knob

Im not positive if this is the correct forum or not, if not - admin please move to proper forum

Recently I purchased a Toyo 810G that has a broken (although usable) rise locking knob. Id like to replace it if possible before it completely breaks.

I tried to contact Toyo on Feb 22nd, zero response. i guess the site and the email addy is no longer any good. Anyway, anyone know where I could get one of these rise locking knobs?

I live in Canada if that helps.

    Derek

    Hi Derek,
MAC Group (Toyo service) is very responsive, but it's really best to call them by telephone.

Depending on cost it might be cheaper to buy a broken standard that has the knob you need and then re-sell the standard. The knobs are the same for 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10. Other models probably share that knob but I can't remember which ones.

Yeah I never thought of that - It would make sense that Toyo probably used the same knob on each model to cut production costs.

I'll have to re-do my search, to include standards/parts

It's a very good idea, but I'd still call MAC group first and find out what would be the cost of the part with shipping.
I just ordered and received from MAC a part for my front standard, a metal plate that permits 180˚ rotation of the standard; it cost $19 plus another $10 for shipping. They are not charging excessively for such parts.
When you know the price for the knob(s) you'll be better informed as to what you can spend on another standard, which can run for as little as $45.00 plus shipping on eBay.

Right... these parts are sometimes very affordable from MAC Group but other times the prices are insanely high.
