Ilford P-30 vs P-3

I know there is numerous threads about it so this one is little bit different. I recently purchased CAP-40 Processor, p-30 would be the right developing process. In this thread

Jan Erala mentioned thad CF1K low contrast polyester based Ilfochrome is not compatible with p-30.
What about CLM1K and CPS1K?

Furthermore, Jan mentioned P-30P process for CF1K...
What is the difference between P-30 and P-30p?

One more question. Some folks says, that drum processing gives better quality (P-3) than P-30 through processor.
What is the truth about it and why?

I don't do Ilfochrome that often, and haven't been doing it for that long, so I'm not an expert. But as I understand it, the main difference between the processes is their usage. P-30 is designed to be a low-volume home process, at 30 degrees C, and mainly for use in drum-type processors. P-30, however, is designed to be used in high-capacity automated processors.

The quality issue which was mentioned may be realted to underutilization of the chemicals.

this is a good question, just quickly I would think that P3x is the correct system, I started with a cap40 while I was waiting delivery of my 30inchP3X machine. I indeed did use clmk , but I am not sure of cf1k,
If I was using the machine today , I would print in sessions and exhaust the chemistry in your printing day. I hated cleaning this machine once it sat for to long with chemicals in it. I think a water bath between sessions would be good for this unit.

Peter I hope you have fun and produce some good images, this is a very capable machine and the quality of the prints you will get are of first rate quality
