    A recent project

Here is a recent project we did.4X5 neg. printed to 10 X10 on fiber (mounted and matted to 16X16). The subject is pieces of rusty tin found on a old homestead here in Iowa and shot in studio.Lots to this one so bare with me.

images with text- my wife (who is an author) typed them on her type writer leaving in the mistakes strategically.Shot the text page, used 2 different enlargers. 1st enlarger with the background,2nd enlarger with the text page. it was difficult to get the exposures right.

The image in the middle is a 4X5 neg.contact using a contact frame with light from a different neg at multiple positions, keeping in the neg edge in.

the other 2 images are using 2 different negs.shot at a slightly different angle, dodged and burned.

the images are meant to be viewed together in exact order. It was alot of fun but a little challenging. I think the text pulles it all together and worth a read.(pardon my quickly done digital copy I hate Photo shop, the 2 strait prints are lighter in real life)
    Thanks for looking...S

Cool, self assigned projects are always fun. Did you try snadwiching the two negs (image and text) together and trying one exposure?

Yup,but the background image needed dodging. And the text image needed cropping.and the type paper added a 1/2 stop to the last whites with detail on the background.
