Thanks for that. I laughed well.

The hat! The hat is terrifying!

Can't tell if the revolver was loaded so there was a bullet about to be loaded. What can we make of this? Tilt? Degree?

He also has a quirt hanging from the wrist of his gun hand.

Can't see any bullets in the front face of the barrel. Not to say there ain't any. And the sights don't line up with his right eye or quite with the lens axis. Must be aiming for the guy holding the cable release next to the camera (yikes!). I hope that don't mean he hates LF. He obviously ain't a digital shooter. Lastly, must be headin' to a poker game with that pin striped vest.

I was thinking of offering some view on gun control. But then I came to my senses :-)

I miss the dude's second eye...

Actually I think it's pretty good for a old Westy shoot 'em up feel. The expression on his face is really powerful. The duds look appropriate. What I feel needs work is the revolver. It looks like he's pointing a black blob.
You wouldn't necessarily see the bullets in the chamber---banditos, or lawmen, or gamblers (we don't know which he is) didn't use shiny copper jacketed bullets but plain lead. If we could see his (cold, just like the left) right eye aligned with the sights and a more defined revolver I think it would make a stronger image. My 2-cents.

    Re: dude and gun

About forty years ago I did an illustration for a Chicago daily news feature on handguns from the cop's firing range. I used a mirror so that there was no chance whatsoever that I'd be shot during the discharge image.

Today I would still do the same.

It was a pretty cool image! Printed flipped, of course.
