    Digital back

    Inspired by Old-N-Feeble's thread: http://www.largeformatphotography.in...igital-Camera-!!!

I went to work. One day I was cleaning a 4x5 film holder and my little girl came up and asked if she could play it. It gave me an idea for the parts for a graflok compatible digital back.

Here we have my digital back in it's Corinthian leather travel case. People were asking about digital lenses too. The only way you can tell it's a digital lens is the special lensboard, needed to properly align the rays going into the sensor. It is made with a temperature and humidity resistant plastic frame, with a registration hole in one corner and a metal spring loaded sliding lock along one edge. It has an 80's vintage style that will let people know you're not in the 19th century steampunk toy business.

It has a touchscreen interface and is easy to use in low light. A darkcloth is only needed in bright sun or when you don't want to draw a crowd of nerds. Immediately after "making a photograph" (we don't call it taking a shot or a snap), you can edit curves and see the histogram and whitebalance on the 1080p screen. Wifi and bluetooth are standard. USB charging too.

And it does angry birds. Great for when you are waiting for the wind to die down or you are waiting for a perfect cloud formation or sunset, you can practice your physics in a polar coordinate environment.
