Time of year for color film photographers to get up from that couch and hit the road to experience some wonder!

No threads on this board about fall even though it has been rolling along in some places for weeks now. Just read a report that bigtooth maples and aspen in Logan Canyon areas of the Wasatch in Utah have now passed peak. Here in California, aspen groves are now peaking with color in the upper Bishop Creek areas while the considerable other Eastern Sierra Nevada aspen groves are probably just in their early yellow to lime green stage. My gear is set for a short notice trip as soon as weather conditions are workable which for this person means some clouds with troughy weather for diffuse light necessary for understory work. But till then one from last fall with the feature story below that shows we large format view camera users are still a force.
