    Camera Mounting on Tripod

    Hello,

I have a TRB Heavy Duty Wooden Tripod with 3/8 screw and would like to mount a 8*10 Deardorff with 1/4-20 thread. In the past I have used a tripod with quick release plate and was wondering if there is any similar system that would work with this tripod. I would like to get this tripod working with 1/4-20 thread and would like to find some sort of system with a quick release rather than spin the entire camera down on the tripod thread.

    Thanks, Steve

Google Bogen/Manfrotto quick release adapter. There are several varieties. It's just the quick release grabber, with a mounting hole in the bottom, which sounds like exactly what you're looking for. The #357 even has a sliding camera plate, for balancing.

Thanks, but I'd rather just watch:
