Custom work done on a 5x7 Camera

    Hey all,

Just wanted to share something cool with you all just incase anyone was looking to get similar work done. What we did is take a 5x7 Anthony Plate Camera, remove the original glass back and install a custom made Graflock back... The owner wanted to shoot 4x5 film.
    Pretty Cool!
Next we will either restore or replace the bellows.

Sorry - thats a matter of opinion!
The original back was in good shape and there are other ways of getting this to work with 4x5" film without such a radical change (a mixture of painted aluminium and plywood? is a bit jarring to my aesthetics). All that was needed was a set of 4x5 film sheaths to mount in the 5x7" plate holders. The only obvious change would be a pencil 4x5 frame on the ground glass.

This is what the customer specifically asked for...

To quote a cartoon - "What baby wants, baby gets ! " If the customer is happy then that's what counts.

It's nice work, and it looks like it's revertible, but I'm in agreement with Steven aesthetic wise.

The back will be hidden under the darkcloth anyway.
Real cameras are measured in inches...
    Not pixels.
