Man With A Camera ~ Charles Bronson Shoots LF On 1950's TV Show

Has anyone here ever seen this TV series from 1958 through 1960 starring Charles Bronson? Titled Man With A Camera, it ran 2 seasons with 29 episodes.

Bronson plays Mike Kovac, a former WWII combat photographer who is doing freelance work in (mostly) New York City. The character Kovac uses all manner of cameras, 35mm, medium format, cameras hidden in various items such as a radio and a cigarette lighter, and yes, large format gear.

And he drove around in a 1958 Ford wagon with a mobile phone and a portable darkroom in the back. How cool is that?

Certainly a different role for an actor who usually performed in much different roles.

It's worth searching for.

For the 7th time I watched 'Funny Face' 1953 Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn for LF fun this week. Great sappy movie, Saltzman studio tripod, 8x10 cameras, TLR's, real faked darkroom action, wink wink. Beseler 4X5 in horizontal projection mode. Powerful chemicals that process prints in seconds!

I am a big fan of Audrey and admire her later life a lot. A very giving human.

Netflix has it. That Saltzman looks great in action. I pause on those parts.

Beatniks! NYC. Paris. I'm gonna watch it again!

Then I'll watch out hero in 'Death Wish"!

Oh, we didn't have a TV at the time, then I left the USA.
