Are they stocking the new version or the older one (with reported issues).

B&H only stocks the newer version.

They didn't handle the older version.

I recently purchased one and needed to wait until the new version was available.

It's a big price difference from the direct manufacturer. Pound sterling is a PITA

When I added in the shipping costs from the UK, B&H 's price was quite reasonable.

I believe the MOD inserts are now made by Harman (Ilford).

Cant understand why Paterson didn't grab up the rights.

BH was significantly cheaper... 62 vs nearly 90 from the mod website.

They couldn't figure out how to make it leak.

I didn't have problems with leaks, I have never been able to properly load the film. I prefer the Unicolor Print Drum to this thing.

It's the new version, they just never updated the picture.

And, ironically I never had trouble with it, I have a ton more trouble with JOBO 2509n reel... Both loading it, and having film dislodge... On the converse, with the MOD54 I never had film dislodge or uneven development, anyone who had those issues is probably too careless with their development procedures IMO... Processed over 100 sheets in my MOD54... After only 25 sheets in the JOBO I already have had 2 runs of film that dislodged.

    Such is life...

You do place the two retention plates on the reel after you load the film, do you?
