    This time I coated the kallitype image with Lumitex matte varnish. I much prefer the matte finish. The Kallitype was also gold toned.

    Ps. Have you tried a dilute pva size? Just wondering if there's enough size in pva for carbon to stick to

    Thanks, Erik. It's a lot of work just to make one print... but it's worth it.

    I use this Krylon Kamar Varnish 1312 Glossy over platinum prints on vellum. Works great.

    Sorry, Erik. I forgot to answer your question. Yes I have used a dilute PVA (1+1) and it worked fine as long as I let it sit for a day to cure. That's why I dropped it and went to acrylic mediums. Brush on, dry, and ready to go.
