S-Color in Amsterdam. They can print up to a width of 5.5 meters and can 'weld' together up to any size. They are based in Amsterdam (Netherlands) and work international. Their quality and service is outstanding (my own client experience). Their site is www.scolor.nl. Click on the English flag and look under 'about our XL activities'. If interested contact Mike Rosenberg (mike at scolor dot nl).
Ferrari Color in SF has a Lightjet 72" wide. www.ferraricolor.com
the Lightjet 500XL is the biggest maching for making single sheet c-print images: 72" width by maximum 120" long - 6 x 10ft in other words.
Durst do not make anything that size. Lambda's only take 50" wide paper.
Grieger apparently has one in europe, but their scanning/prep work is appalling quality - gursky's prints are poorly prepared and very badly sharpened.
Many Labs in the US have the 500XL Laumont, ColorEdge, Duggal, etc. etc.
anything bigger/wider than this in a single piece has to be a variation of inkjet., and the quality is less. maybe the top end Mutoh is ok, and others possibly, but quality substrates (acid free papers etc) are not available even if you found an inkjet printer you trusted.
if you are prepared to accept seams, multi-panel works, then you can have a tiled image any size you want from a Lambda or Lightjet.
