There are at least two shops in Atlanta that deal in used darkroom equipment. You may want to get in touch with them.

The filter holder is a useful but optional gadget; I used my Beseler 45 enlarger for many years before I got a filter holder. Filters will need to be cut to fit into the enlarger and the cut is the same whether the filters are being used with the holder or not; the back is curved. There's a narrow ledge inside the enlarger that the filter holder rests on; a filter alone will rest on it just fine. Once you get a filter cut to fit the space, it doesn't really need the holder although it is more convenient to have one.

I have 3 Beseler 45 enlargers, all different. I have a black one where the upper ann lower bellows are the same size. I have blue one where the lower bellows is smaller than the upper, and a grey one with the small bellows where the supports go twards the front and not the rear. I think I have at least 2 different filter setups.

I should mention I have something on the way to check out. Hopefully it'll work well.
I'm armed with a Wisner 4x5 Technical Field and a lot of hope. I got this. Oh, and my name's Andrew.

Since I use several enlargers, I just hold clean filters under the lens. Works fine. Stuffing them into filter drawers messes them up.

Buy used for less than 1/2 price new.
