    Thanks Steve. I usually do a presoak about that long, and I don't think I neglected to in this instance. I actually woke up the other morning with an idea of what may have caused the problem. I developed this roll by itself in a two roll tank, and put it on the bottom, when I think I should have put it on the top, above the empty reel. So maybe the empty reel draining onto the reel with film, after agitation, caused more agitation in those bands.

    Does your film travel through the camera horizontally or vertically??? What I described runs along the length of the film... (I assume vertically...)

    Excess drying will do this...

    It travels horizontally, from right to left, in a Perkeo II.
