    Thank you Bob and Austin!

Austin, I have to mention that your deep but still detailed shadows and darker images has been influencing me here quite a bit.

We'll see if I can get this much nuance in the darkroom.

I recently visited Spirit Lake, near Mount St. Helens. These logs have been floating there since the eruption in 1980. If you look at pictures of Spirit Lake from before that time, you'll get a better appreciation of the magnitude of what happened here. It's an eerie place, but one that continues to have a pull for me.

Austin - your home plate image is awesome, I played fastball much of my life and it really resonates with me.

Austin , Ken and Paul have a somewhat similar printing style where the are all quite aware of the low tones in an image, I really like their work as well.

Thanks Bob. I imagine that home plate has seen a lot of great games. I played third base in little league, but honestly I think I'm a better photographer than I was a baseball player. At least, I hope so. :-)

Austin, nice Spirit Lake series. The first image in particular. I like the depth and contrast.

Indeed, you just hit a home-run with the (first) snow covered logs, Austin.

Thank you chassis, Les, Roger. You guys are too kind.

Thanks tuco. That picture above looks great. I'm amazed that that's 3200! I just picked up a GW690II. Put my first roll through it yesterday and am interested to see the negs.
