    Kowa 150mm lens coverage

I have recently purchased a Kowa Graphic lens (barrel) - Does anyone have experience with this lens? Will it cover 5x7 at F16? Also what size shutter does it mount in?

    Kowa 150mm lens coverage

Hi Lewis. Your Graphic Kowas will cover 5X7 with generous movements and you will find it to be incredibly sharp. I've used one on a Deardorff 8X10 and it will just vignette the corners. Bad news is it probably doesn't easily go into any shutter. Some of the earlier ones that say Computar will go into a Copal 1 but most of the Graphic Kowa's I've seen don't.

I have one that I acquired in a Copal Press #1 shutter that looks like it screwed right in. I remember reading that spacers might be required between the elements to optimize sharpness. Great lens.

    Kowa 150mm lens coverage

There's a guy on ebay who sells the 150 kowa mounted in a copal polaroid shutter. He throws in tominon lens elements with the deal. I just bought the lens but have not tested it. Everything I could find indicates that it is a very sharp lens.
