Re: Where to go in Europe in the Winter?

As you have noticed, Soeren, we have brought the good weather back to Denmark from Spain this weekend!

Of course, there are periods during November - March which are OK for outdoor work. Don't tell me you wouldn't like a winter break in a more friendly climate.

Our winter trip has become a regular thing - our stays have become longer as we are free of work obligations now. It has been a much worse winter over in the UK and we met people who had taken refuge in Andalusia as their homes had been flooded out - again!

One of the reasons I have raised this, is because I always reach the maximum allowed baggage (20 + 10 kilos) and it would be nice to have some items permanent "placed" in an area I come back to every winter. Not just developing equipment but also a studio set to carry the big lenses which I could just manage to have in cabin baggage.

The met office said today that the average total sunshine hours in Denmark for January was 17.3 hours. This is not a mistake - it is the lowest for any month since 1969.

As the Winter 2013/2014 is official over, perhaps the OP and others with experiences in that last few months, could post their "adventures"?

Not quite yet! Still one week to go, and around here, that can be a bad week. We just had another 25cm dumped on us, on Wednesday.
