Thanks John. Reflecting upon history and various attire (@ the beach), Manhattan that looks like a village at the back of the bridge , peeps look thinner overall (either harder times or McDees haven't been introduced yet), old-school technology (real old school) and 'togs got way more respect than today...... What's not to like ?

What I don't quite understand is how come, in many of these shots, there is quite a bit of cloud drama captured in the sky? I never get that with ortho film!

Wow. Guess they really didn't need the Zone system back then, huh? :-)
I can't get over how sharp and contrasty all the images are. #75, #80 are my favs.
I assume these must come from scans of the negs, based on the pristine quality of the images. I can't image prints surviving that long in such perfect condition.
Shorpy is an insidiously effective time killer. There's just so much to see and so much of it is interesting.
