Calumet 4x5 with no front rise/fall?

    Hey!

I just bought my first 4x5, a Calumet CC-400, I'm guessing. The guess is mainly because it's a black model and Adorama had no other information other than Black Metal Calumet. Anyway, first thing I'ved noticed is that there seems to be some sort of locking mechanism or piece that doesn't allow fron rise/fall. I've searched for this and haven't found anything relating to this on the internet.
Included are two pictures of the piece in question. I unscrewed but there was another piece that had a like finger that locks the gear from moving the track.
    Thanks!

You push it in to allow rise/fall adjustment, pull out to lock.

    Oh! Thanks!

I was scratching my head for a while there. The Calumet's at school don't have that.

    Thanks a bunch!
