I thought I read somewhere that there is no difference between Rodenstock's older Sironar-N lenses and the more recent APO Sironar-N lenses. Is this the case? Are the coatings the same? Thanks.

Had the same question some time ago. According to the data sheets the Sironar-N MC and the Apo-Sironar-N are identical. The Apo-Sironar-S is of course a different design.
The full story can be found here.
Personally I am very satisfied with the lens.
Thanks for the link and your input.
