A photo has often been said to be worth a thousand words, so about ten years ago, I started really imagining it at least becoming less about an artistic pursuit and more of a 24/7 everywhere language. I can not understand a lick of Chinese, but I can fully understand a photograph of a joy filled facial expression of a Chinese woman smelling fresh flowers, it's universal.

From the standpoint of a person who wants to continue to earn a good living with it, many of the points cited in the article are the number one reason I have been working hard to divorce my work from digital means and be completely material & tactile in creating film & fiber based darkroom prints....just a gut feeling of a good career direction.

I'm sure varying viewpoints will chime in, have at it...
