The thread from 2000 reminds me that I haven't seen John Hicks posting anything on any forum lately. He was always a paragon of correct information and barbless interchange. Anybody have an update?

I miss his contributions as well. He and Richard Knoppow inspired me to learn the fundamentals of sensitometry and chemistry when I followed the rec photo darkroom group very early in my education. I always give their advice very serious consideration, as I do that of a few others on these forums and others. There is a lot of wisdom to be gleaned if one knows where to look for it.
