(Rolling) Case for Toyo 810M

Hi,

Every time I buy a Toyo, it seems I need a new case

I just bought a Toyo 810M and I'm looking for some kind of case for it, soft or hard, but definitely no backpacks (please); I work in the city only.

I've looked at Pelican, Tenba and Think Tank, but they are either too small, just the right size for the camera only, or a huge case that is overkill.

The camera measures 14.5 x 15 x 6.5 inches (37 x 38 x 16 cm)

I have 3 lenses and 4 film holders, and some odds and ends (loupe, level, extra cable releases).

I'd love to find a good case that will accommodate these; I could put it on my hand cart if it is not a wheeled model.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Lightware also makes nice cases, although they're pricey.

When I do commercial photography on location, I have have a couple of hard plastic tool cases that I bought at Menards. They're bigger and squarer than standard sized tool boxes. I stack three of them on a hand cart.

So far, the Pelican iM2720 and the HPRC 2700 cases are good candidates.
Reasonably priced and they fit the bill, dimension-wise.

Those Pelican cases are extremely sturdy and heavy, and the latter doesn't matter much if your rolling them around. (We had a couple of similar cases at the studio where I used to work.) My Menard's cases aren't nearly that sturdy, but I mostly use mine for grip kit, strobes...

Maybe you don't need anything hardcore - an inexpensive Rubbermaid/Tupperware type might work.

I'm not sure without measuring again, but my Shen Hao FCL810-A fits perfectly into one of these rolling file cases. Purchased at Office Depot for $100. I fumbled into this as a solution about a week after I got the camera and have no reason to look further.

Phil, very nice solution; at $100 it's worth looking into, thanks for that.
The 810M is quite a bit larger than a regular folder, a sizeable chunk of metal that can make you miserable unless the right type of carrying option is used.

Thanks, Otto; I am heading to Home Depot tomorrow; up until now, I haven't had much luck with that solution, but there's an interesting Stanley tool case there, too.
If it's sturdy enough, it may be the ticket at $85.

According to the above they recently discontinued some of their hard cases but you still may be able to find some models in their stores. If in stock at another store they will ship it to your store for local pick-up.
