    Linhof panorama head question

I found an older Linhof tripod with a panorama head.

The head will not quite lock down; it can always turn, although the small plastic headed bolt does adjust the resistance somewhat.

There is one odd screw (the one with the hole in it) I'm wondering if this might be an oil filled head (that is: oil dampened)?

If so, what oil to use? If not, what is the odd screw for, and is it original?

    Re: Linhof panorama head question

It isn't a panorama head. It is a Linhof 2-Way Pan/tilt head. It is in need of service. It is quite old.
