    Compendium shade on Tachihara

Is anyone out there using compendium shade on a 4x5 Tachihara? I've tried Lee lens shade and found it not so appropriate, as it doesn't allow stacking of more than one filter (I use mainly round filters) on my 90mm lens without vignetting.

You're probably not going to get much of a shade with stacked filters on a wide angle. Were you using the Lee wide angle shade or the regular one?

I used the Lee regular shade on a Tachihara and it worked fine. However, I didn't stack filters, especially with a wide angle lens. I'm not sure there is a system that will allow you to stack filters on a wide angle lens without vignetting. If multiple filters on wide angle lenses is really important to you perhaps you could try putting one filter on the back of the lens and the other filter in the front.

Another alternative is to use a step-up ring on the lens, and then larger filters, so the frontmost filter edge is outside the angle of view of the lens.

Before using the Lee normal lens shade, I can actually stack 82mm polarizer with step-up ring to a normal 67mm, 81B (not slim type) and still can perform some front tilt without vignetting on my 90mm lens.

With the Lee lens shade attached with a wide angle adapter onto a 81B, a little front tilt will result in vignetting at around f16-f22.
