Anyone use or have used a Manfrotto 400 Large Geared Head?

If so, can you give me your thoughts on it please?

    TIA. Eddie

It works, seems to be able to handle a very large camera, but you're stuck with what struck me as a rather clumsy QR system. The QR system is plenty secure, don't get me wrong, just seemed like the product of odd design choices (my opinion only).

I use one on a studio pedestal. The QR system is "unique" but it all works well and handles my Sinar P2 camera with ease. YMMV

    Hi Ed,

It's a great head... as long as you're using it in the studio! It's
    quite the beast!

Supported a Sinar X with extended bellows without any issues.

    Cheers

    I use it.
It's a great head if you accept its weight.
    Sometimes love just ain't enough.
