Tote for 8x10, 11x14, ?? size film holders!

I went to Costco this morning to buy a chicken and discovered a $9.69 wonder, the California Innovations insulated multi tote. It looked like it could easily digest a stack of my 8x10 holders so I placed my $9.69 bet and took it home. It easily holds 10 film holders with lots of room left over so I imagine 11x14 would be no sweat. Being 22" long, I'm not sure if it would fit my 12x20 holders but it should handle 7x17 with no problem. I am not connected with California Innovations or Costco, but I thought this might be of interest(dang, I'm excited about it!) I am fond of using insulated containers for carrying film & cameras, since I figure any insulation is better than none when the thermometer is pushing 100 degrees llike it is today.

    Cheers!

I found a couple of different ones at Candian Tire (same brand as above) that will take 8x10 holders - one will take about 8 and the other about 10. Hardest thing these days is finding a "plain" insulated bag - without taps, can holders etc etc

    Hi John,

100 degrees!!!! John, I'd think you'd be looking for a portable air conditioner instead! :>)

Gotta love your dedication to the craft.

I'll have to go and look for a smaller unit... Sounds like it'd be great for travelling through the interior of British Columbia in the middle of summer. And, it'll be great for holding bottled water too!

    Thanks for the recommendation.

    Cheers

I once met someone who used a Pizza delivery shoulder bag to tote his 11x14 kit around. He could never be sure if it increased or decreased his chance of being mugged.
