Scanning directly onto glass - Epson 3200

    Hi everyone!
Just got an Epson 3200 for £1.20 on eBay (yes, really and it wasn't from china) but still need a 4x5 holder, which seem to be impossible to find in the UK. Is it therefore possible to scan on the glass by changing the focus distance maybe and still get sharp scans?
    Thanks!

You should be able to improvise a negative carrier from mat board. A cutout is needed at the top of the carrier to (I believe) calibrate the scanner. There may be other features on the original carrier that control other functions of the scanner.

Also, maybe try some anti-glare glass (etched on one side).

    Use post-it notepads for support.

Adjust height to taste – enjoy.
