labs north of Boston (NH border)

I'm looking for a lab to develop and print my film. I live in an apartment north of the Boston area along the NH border with Lowell being the closes big city. I've tried a few of the local places (photo stores - Anderson in Concord for one) for some of my medium format film and have been dissapoinged with the results. The film wasn't properly developed with areas being under developed and the contact sheet was a disaster.

    Does anyone have any recomendations?

    Thanks Dan

In Arlington, try Dorian Color Lab.

I live in Northern Worcester County, one town away from the Mass-NH border. I've been using Dorian Color Labs in Arlington (www.dorianlab.com) - via mailers, I've never visited their labs - for B&W 35mm, B&W medium format (6x7) and 4x5 large format (both B&W and E6). They've done good work, promptly.

    Hope this helps,

    Bill H.

Try www.premierphotographics.com in Manchester, NH. I've had very good luck with them.

    Try Martin's PhotoGraphix - 34 Northwest Blvd. - Nashua, NH 03063 - 603-880-0616

The manager is Arthur Rounds, formerly of Rounds Custom Lab in Manchester NH (another good lab)

Dorian without a doubt! Alan and Dean Asadorian and their dedicated, professional crew are and have always been top shelf ever since I started using them back in '86! They do mail order and I usually do it that way and I have NEVER had any issues at all with them. If you call, Brian usually answers. He is very knowledgeable and will do what needs to be done to keep the products running smoothly.

Another vote for Premier Photographics in Manchester. There is another lab in Manchester as well, Image 4 but they often have a hard time meeting schedules. Contact me offline for more info on them please.

I highly recommend http://www.colorservicesinc.com, in Needham, Mass, just off Rte 128,
although not as close to you as Nashua and Southern NH. Very fast turn around, C-41, E6, B&W (Xtol and PMK Pyro), up to 8x10 film size; excellent, excellent quality. Very personable (not chummy) service also.
