Especially in winter, I am mostly a night photographer. Here's a shot I did a few weeks ago with my 1845 Ross Petzval, mounted on Chamonix 045n, HP5. I love this lens! It's f2.8 gives very shallow DOF, in addition to the usual Petzval renderings. Since the lens has no shutter or even stops, it is easier to shoot it at night using film speed to control exposure.

    Taipei 101 : Penta 45F, Caltar IIE 6.8/210mm, Provia 100F 4x5 @ f16 - 30sec

I want to do the same in 8x10, but I have no lens with 420mm FL. Anybody has a cheap barrel out there?

I love that how this essentially reads is that 4x5 is your proofing size... Haha!

I love this. I'm of the school that thinks a night shot should look like it was shot at night.
