    Good source for lenses

Hi, new member, and new to 4x5 after retirement from portrait photographer medium format and digital. I'm awaiting shipment of my Cambo SC camera (ebay), and am now shopping for my normal lens. Will go used, somewhere from 135mm to 150mm, and not tied into any particular manufacturer at this point.

I've been prowling ebay, as well as BHphotovideo, and Adorama, but wonder what large format used lens sellers I might be missing. Any suggestions on where to look for my first lens?

KEH is good. Also Lensfielders http://lensfielders.com for used lenses, Badger http://www.badgergraphic.com for new and (some) used.

Igor's is good. It's best to just call him rather than e-mail.

I will second Bob's recommendation for Lensfielders... they are really great to do business with! They have become my dealer of choice if they have what I am looking for because of their friendliness and customer service.

After you have been a member of this forum for 30 days, you can shop the classifies here.

    Be patient. It is worthwhile.

BTW, KEH (www.keh.com) has an excellent return policy in the event you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase.

Thanks for the replies. I checked all that you suggested. I ended up crossing my fingers and making a deal on Ebay for a supposedly Ex+, Schneider Symmar-S 135mm f/5.6 MC with Copal #0 for $269.00.

Try Jim at Midwest Photo Exchange. don't forget the For Sale section right here, either.

Here. I've gotten most of my LF lenses from Classified FS ads on this site. Good prices, honest folks.
