    Dutch Hill Tripod

After dragging around a Gitzo for years, the weight and some of the ergonomics did not completely agree with me. This resulted in ordering a set of Dutch Hill Surveyor's tripor legs and modifying it by installing the geared center column from a Davis & Sanford tripod.

    This is the resulting hybrid.

It is lower in weight than the Gitzo, the legs are easier to adjust and good vibration damping and stability due to the composite legs.

Nice! I like the metallic minimalist look.
